Itinerary overview

Entanda Cultural center is a real cultural experience for all kinds of people, rewards of taste to the true cultural practices, people beliefs, norms of the Ugandan people. Several activities you have to take part in including; dressing up the traditional wear (the Gomasi), preparing food a traditional way, enjoy from different dishes with self-service buffet to fresh fruits, play traditional musical instruments, forest walks, old traditional hunting, cattle grazing and milking, have a taste to fresh honey from bee hives, bark clothing making, traditional wine processing, games like skipping ropes, net ball, board games, football bicycle riding in plantations, educational and informative talks about sex by Uncles (kojja) and aunts (senga).

Detailed itinerary

Have your breakfast early enough at your Kampala hotel/residence our safari guide will then pick you up and brief you about different issues about the cultural safari and where you are heading to. Get excited already for Entanda cultural center because this is the place to be, he will transfer you along Kampala- Mityana road heading to Kijjude Village.

Up on arrival, you will be grouped as men and women where women will participate in women activities and so the men. The men will participate in traditional hunting and they will be given sticks, spears, nets plus other traditional items for fishing and hunting, they will be escorted by guides and dogs. There will be no killing of animals but rather rewards to encounter animals in the wilderness and gain traditional hunting skills.

Whereas women will be taken by traditional old women who will guide them on how to prepare traditional meals like chicken luwombo, wrapped bananas, peeling of the bananas. Later you will be led by aunts (senga) who will take you to the bush to discuss bed room matters, then participate in games like net ball, rope skipping, tree swinging etc.

Later you can all mix up for the huge lunch served a traditional way, then have fruits buffet with several fresh fruits like mangos, sugar cane, passion fruits, water melon, jack fruits, guavas, avocado, pawpaw, oranges, wild berries etc.
After lunch men will also be led by Uncles to go discuss bed room secrets and traditional family matters. All visitors will combine later and play, do cow grazing, gardening etc.The evening hours will arrive and then set off back to Kampala marking the end of the cultural safari with us.
